Utilizing GM's New EV Platform
The teaser reveals a futuristic front design and a portion of the Cadillac emblem on the developing EV. The brand's first EV, announced by Cadillac, utilizes an EV platform developed by GM. This next-generation EV platform offers flexibility and can shorten design and development times.
In addition to supporting front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drive with its drive units and battery cells, the platform allows for adjustments to battery capacity and layout according to the vehicle body and customer needs.
The model name and details of the EV model are expected to be announced closer to its release.
Cadillac is also proceeding with a plan to release one new car every six months until 2021, beyond EVs, and further details on when the new EV will be unveiled are eagerly awaited.Inquiries
