Abarth is increasing its sales in Japan through measures such as a price reduction due to a review of the Abarth 500's equipment, initiatives to improve brand recognition, and the introduction of theAbarth 595model.
The proportion of left-hand drive vehicles for the Abarth 500, the most standard model in Japan, has recorded approximately 40% since its introduction to the Japanese market in 2009.
Considering this track record, Fiat Chrysler Japan has added a left-hand drive specification to the current "Abarth 500."
The price and specifications remain unchanged from the right-hand drive model, featuring a 1.4-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo engine with a maximum output of 99kW (135ps) paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, priced at 2.69 million yen.
