Equipped with a 1.2-Liter Turbo Engine, Different from the Catalog Model

Last year saw the debut of the fourth-generation Mégane Sport Tourer. To celebrate its first anniversary in Japan, a limited model has been created, featuring a 1.2-liter turbo engine distinct from the catalog model's "Sport Tourer GT" and an enhanced interior finish.

Currently, the Mégane Sport Tourer lineup consists solely of the "Sport Tourer GT," powered by a 1.6-liter direct-injection engine producing a maximum output of 151 kW (205 ps) and peak torque of 280 Nm. In contrast, the limited edition model utilizes the same 1.2-liter turbo engine found in the hatchback "Mégane GT Line," delivering 97 kW (132 ps) and 205 Nm (20.9 kgm) of torque. The transmission remains the 7-speed automatic (EDC), identical to the standard model.

Five driving modes are offered, exceeding the four modes available in the "Sport Tourer GT." The eco-mode incorporates a "freewheeling" function that suppresses engine braking when the accelerator is not pressed, extending driving range and improving fuel efficiency.



The exterior is elegantly accented with chrome molding and garnishes, complemented by newly designed 18-inch wheels. Inside, the cabin is elevated with comfort seats upholstered in velour and leather-look materials, along with a Napa leather steering wheel.

Similar to the Mégane GT, the safety features utilize 12 sensors, two cameras, and a millimetre-wave radar to analyze the vehicle's surroundings in 360 degrees, activating various driver assistance functions.

The body is available exclusively in the newly introduced Blue Berlin Metallic. Production is limited to 30 units, with a price tag of 3,129,000 yen, approximately 470,000 yen less than the "Sport Tourer GT."
