BMW 1 Series Unveils a Renewed Lineup
BMW announced on Wednesday, September 5th, that it has renewed the lineup for the "1 Series." The company has introduced and begun sales of the "118i / 118d M Sport Edition Shadow" and "118i / 118d Fashionista," which were previously sold as special edition models, along with the new "M140i Edition Shadow."

Special Edition "Edition Shadow" and "Fashionista" Added
The "1 Series" lineup has been refreshed. The engine options will primarily be the 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gasoline turbo "118i," the 2-liter 4-cylinder diesel turbo "118d," and the "M140i" with a 3-liter 6-cylinder gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 250kW (340ps) and a maximum torque of 500Nm.
The "Edition Shadow," now a catalog model, is characterized by its sporty styling, including dark headlights and 18-inch Jet Black alloy wheels. It also features the Parking Support Package and Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function. Notably, the "M140i Edition Shadow" is being released for the first time.
Meanwhile, the "Fashionista" offers a warm interior with Oyster-colored seats, along with safety and comfort features such as a rearview camera to assist with parking in tight spaces and Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function.
With this new lineup, the previous "Sport," "Style," and "M Sport" grades have been discontinued.
However, the "Sport," "Style," and "M Sport" grades of the "120i," equipped with a 2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, will continue to be available on a built-to-order basis.
Pricing starts at 3.79 million yen for the "118i" "Fashionista" and "M Sport Edition Shadow," and 4.04 million yen for the "118d" "Fashionista" and "M Sport Edition Shadow." The "M140i Edition Shadow" is priced at 6.52 million yen.
