Land Rover's First PHEV Models

The PHEV system being introduced by Land Rover for the first time combines a gasoline engine with a maximum output of 212kW (300ps) and a motor with a maximum output of 85kW (116ps) in a parallel hybrid configuration. The system as a whole produces a maximum output of 297kW (404ps) and a maximum torque of 640Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The top speed for both the "Range Rover" and "Range Rover Sport" reaches 220km/h, with 0-100km/h acceleration recorded at 6.8 seconds for the "Range Rover" and 6.7 seconds for the "Range Rover Sport." In terms of environmental performance, both models achieve high efficiency with an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) value of 2.8ℓ/100km (approximately 35.7km/ℓ) and CO2 emissions of 64g/km.



Driving modes can be selected between Hybrid mode and EV mode depending on the situation. In Hybrid mode, there is a "Save" function that operates to prevent the battery charge level from falling below a set value. Additionally, when a destination is entered into the navigation system and a route is set, the system utilizes elevation data to optimize the switching between the motor and gasoline engine, enhancing energy efficiency. When fully charged, the EV mode allows for a driving range of up to 51km.

The charging port is located in the front grille to maintain design integrity and supports 200V standard charging. Charging is possible at home or in commercial facilities. Furthermore, by utilizing the standard "InControl Remote" smartphone app, users can check the vehicle's charging status and adjust charging times.

The PHEV models are priced from 15.8 million yen (Vogue) to 28.66 million yen (SV Autobiography) for the "Range Rover." For the "Range Rover Sport," prices range from 11.85 million yen (HSE) to 13.15 million yen (Autobiography Dynamic).
