Two Cars Become One
At theParis Motor ShowFiat, which exhibited the " Panda 4x4" classified as a mini SUV at the Paris Motor Show, spent two weeks creating a monster truck based on the "Panda 4x4." This fully functional, one-off model was apparently made for a 2013 television commercial.
We highly recommend you check out the shocking appearance in the video on the right.
The floor panel is from a Jeep "CJ7 4200." It rides on 150cm diameter, 50cm wide "high-speed" tractor tires, with a total height of 390cm, length of 380cm, and width of 250cm.
Naturally, the biggest challenge in its construction was coordinating the steering systems, clutches, accelerators, and brakes of two completely different vehicles.
The television commercial, which this completed Monster Panda is scheduled to appear in, seems to be as follows.
Four young people go out to play in the mountains in their Panda 4x4. On a mountain road, it transforms into a monster truck and climbs the slope. Upon arriving at their lodging, when the driver gets out, expecting the usual Panda 4x4, the ground is nearly two meters below. They land in the freshly fallen snow, much to everyone's amusement.
So, will the Panda 4x4, along with this commercial, be coming to Japan?
