A Chocolate-Covered Kangoo Arrives!

Renault Japon has collaborated with the French patisserie Pierre Herméto announce a "Kangoo" model inspired by chocolate. It goes on sale today with a limited run of 30 units.

The Kangoo Born from a Collaboration with Pierre Hermé

The Kangoo is a wagon known for its spacious interior, inherited from its commercial van origins, and its unique French car styling. This vehicle, an icon of the Renault brand in Japan, has been collaborated with Pierre Hermé, a world-renowned French patisserie, for its new series "Carrément Chocolat." A Kangoo, adorned with interior and exterior details inspired by chocolate, has been released. Furthermore, various events will be held to commemorate this occasion.

The vehicle, named "Kangoo Chocolat," features a "Marron Chocolat" color scheme.Kangoo ImageBased on the "Kangoo Image," the exterior boasts special decals and body-colored (chocolate color) side mirrors, while the interior unifies the shift boot, door handles, and navigation panel in a chocolate hue.

The "cute" image of the Kangoo is perfectly complemented by its chocolate-themed interior and exterior, evoking a sweet aroma.

The price is set at 2,448,000 yen, the same as the Kangoo Image, despite including a standard Pioneer SD navigation system.

This is not the first collaboration between Pierre Hermé and Renault. At this year's Paris Motor Show, a meticulously crafted 1/4 scale chocolate replica of the "Clio (Lutecia)" which had its world premiere, was exhibited, created by Pierre Hermé. Additionally, at "Salon du Chocolat," a chocolate festival held in Paris, 1,700 macarons from Pierre Hermé decorated Renault's electric vehicle, the "Twizy". This "cross-industry collaboration," which captured attention in France, is the precursor to this current Hermé x Renault collaboration in Japan.

Commemorative Events Also Held

To commemorate the collaboration between Renault Kangoo and Pierre Hermé, a patisserie event, "Noël Carrément Chocolat ~ A Christmas Filled with Chocolate ~," will be held at Daikanyama T-SITE on December 1st and 2nd. At the venue, not only will the "Kangoo Chocolat" be on display, but there will also be demonstrations by French patissiers from "Pierre Hermé" and free samples of sweets.

In addition, as part of a campaign, Renault Japon is offering a special Pierre Hermé gift for those who place an order for the "Kangoo Chocolat" by December 25th. A small gift will also be provided as a business negotiation commemorative item. Furthermore, a campaign is underway where five lucky winners who have "liked" Renault Japon's Facebook page will receive a special gift.
