The Long Range and Spacious Interior Unique to FCVs
Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) emit no CO2 or environmental pollutants during operation and can travel long distances on a hydrogen refill of about three minutes. Toyota, which has already commercialized the "Mirai" Mirai," is now introducing the "Fine-Comfort Ride" concept model, which leverages the ample power from hydrogen as an energy source and the free layout unique to electric vehicles, touting it as "a new form of premium sedan."
The exterior features a diamond-shaped cabin that expands upwards, downwards, left, and right from the front center of the vehicle, tapering towards the rear. This design is said to maximize the space for the second-row seats and improve aerodynamic performance.
The seats are arranged in a 2-seat by 3-row configuration for six passengers, and the seat layout can be freely adjusted. The spacious interior, born from a long wheelbase of 3,450mm, features seats that can be adjusted to any posture, along with an agent function and touch displays.
In addition to the high quietness and smooth ride unique to electric models, it is said to offer a cruising range of approximately 1,000 km on a single hydrogen fill.
The Tokyo Motor Show will be held for 12 days from Wednesday, October 25th to Sunday, November 5th, at Tokyo Big Sight. Public viewing begins on Saturday, November 28th.
