Aston Martin has announced that it will begin production by adding the "Speedster" and "Shooting Brake" to the "Vanquish Zagato" series of creative models, a collaboration with Italian coachbuilder Zagato. The four models in the "Vanquish Zagato" family are all based on Aston Martin'sVanquish Sand are equipped with a naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 600ps and a Touchtronic III transmission for smooth shifting.

The "Vanquish Zagato Speedster" is characterized by its roofless design, expressing the excitement of an open-top, ultra-high-performance sports car. Its highlight is the "speed humps," design elements placed in line with the seats that form a streamlined cowl, evoking Zagato's signature double-bubble roof.

The body panels are all made of carbon fiber, and along with the blade taillights inspired by the company's supermodel, the "Vulcan" and the 3D "Z" motif used in the front grille and rear vent mesh, they are common to the family.

The "Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake," on the other hand, is designed as a highly practical two-seater GT with a strong individual character.

Its sculpted, long roof features Zagato's signature double-bubble design with glass inlays that bring light into the cockpit. The tailgate, connected to the roof, is powered. Opening it reveals a rear cabin with custom-made luggage sets, including herringbone-patterned carbon fiber fascia panels, bronze-anodized rotary controls, "Z" motif quilting throughout, and optional full aniline leather specifications, all demonstrating a presence equal to the other models.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer, explained the rationale behind the Zagato family: "Many of our Aston Martin customers seek different things. Some desire the purity of the Coupe, others the radicalism of the Speedster. And some have ordered both. A Zagato car is an exceptionally special object, a coveted collector's item, and a rare car that could compete in future Concours d'Elegance events."

Production numbers for the "Coupe", which began production at the end of 2016, and the "Volante", with deliveries completed in 2018, are each limited to 99 units. The Speedster, with deliveries starting in the same year, is an even rarer model with only 28 units (all sold out). The Shooting Brake, completing the quartet, is also scheduled to begin production in 2018 with 99 units, bringing the series total to 325.
