Announced in Europe in 2009,2011and2014the "Mégane R.S." has set the fastest production FF times at Germany's Nürburgring. Production of the current third-generation Mégane R.S. ended in France last year. Sales in Japan will also conclude soon, prompting the release of two special edition models to mark the occasion.

The powertrain is the same 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder DOHC turbo engine found in the "Mégane R.S. Trophy R," which set the fastest production FF time at the Nürburgring. Tuned by Renault Sport, it produces a maximum output of 201kW (273ps) and a maximum torque of 360Nm (36.7kgm). It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The 20-unit limited "Mégane R.S. 273 Pack Sport" features special lightweight forged wheels designed exclusively for Japanese users by Roberto Marchesi, a renowned racing and sports wheel designer. Each wheel achieves a weight reduction of 3.3kg compared to the standard model while maintaining high strength. Additionally, it incorporates a 4kg lighter Akrapovič titanium muffler.

Along with the 200-unit limited "Mégane R.S. 273 Final Edition," it includes special items such as silver side decals and a serial number plate signed by Laurent Hurgon, Renault Sport's top test driver.

The "Mégane R.S. 273 Pack Sport" is available in two body colors, Sirius Yellow Metallic and Flame Red Metallic, priced at 4.19 million yen.
Due to the limited production of 20 units, applications will be accepted via lottery on the Renault Japon website until Monday, April 17.
