The "i8" was first released in 2014 under BMW's sub-brand "BMW i." Combining a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with an electric motor, the powertrain delivers a total system output of 266 kW (362 hp) and 570 Nm of torque. BMW claims that despite its sports car performance, it achieves fuel efficiency and low emissions comparable to a compact car.

This limited edition model features an exterior in the striking "Frozen Matte Black" exclusive matte color. The presence of the car is further enhanced by 20-inch alloy wheels with a matte finish. Additionally, it comes standard with "BMW Laser Light," which offers twice the illumination range of LED headlights.

The interior boasts seats accented with yellow against spherical leather, exclusive velour floor mats, grey seatbelts, and an interior badge with a serial number.

Furthermore, BMW collaborated with Kunihiko Morinaga, the designer of the fashion brand "ANREALAGE," known for its innovative clothing that transcends the human form and actively incorporates technology and new materials. ANREALAGE debuted at Paris Fashion Week in 2014. This collaboration resulted in the creation of specially produced, Japan-exclusive accessories for the "Protonic Frozen Black."

A total of 20 units will be sold, with 10 right-hand drive and 10 left-hand drive models. Priced at ¥22,980,000, approximately ¥2.69 million higher than the base model, deliveries are scheduled to begin in June.
