The new brand, "AMR," is an acronym derived from "Aston Martin Racing," established in 2004 and active in championships such as the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Moving forward, the company plans to create exciting models that incorporate racing car technology into road cars.
Key future AMR models will be handled by Aston Martin's in-house engineering team. However, the development of AMR Pro models will be entrusted to the Advanced Operations department of "Aston Martin's Bespoke and Restoration Division,Q by Aston Martin".
The first fruits of this initiative, showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, are the "Vantage AMR Pro" and the four-door sports car "Rapide AMR." Both are painted in Aston Martin's signature Stirling Green, accented with striking lime green highlights.
The "Vantage AMR Pro" is a circuit-focused model with enhanced performance, powered by a GT4 race engine producing 507ps. It stands as the most powerful V8 Vantage and the pinnacle of the brand's offerings.
Featuring race-specification adjustable suspension, a competition-developed engine and transmission, and the same bonnet and rear fenders as the WEC championship-winning car, the interior combines a racing aesthetic with chic dark Knight Alcantara and lime green accents, elevating its exclusivity.
Meanwhile, the "Rapide AMR" is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine and a quad exhaust system, achieving a top speed of 336 km/h. Its distinctive front splitter and side sills further assert the AMR brand's unique identity.
Both of these models will be available for purchase, with the "Vantage AMR Pro" limited to just seven units and the "Rapide AMR" to 210 units.
