Open-Air Motoring, Even in a Limited Edition

The newly announced Vanquish Zagato Volante is the latest creation born from the nearly 60-year partnership between Italian design house Zagato and Aston Martin.

This is positioned as the open-top model of theVanquish Zagato Coupe, which was unveiled in May 2016. The coupe was justFirst Public Showing in Japanshown in Japan in August.


The engine is the same naturally aspirated V12 as in the coupe, producing a maximum output of 600 ps and achieving 0-60 mph (approx. 96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds.

The exterior highlight is undoubtedly its open top. The twin cowls on the rear deck flow seamlessly into the trailing edge of the luggage compartment. Beneath these cowls lies the convertible top, which operates with the same mechanism as the Vanquish Volante's.

Like the coupe, it also features round taillight reflectors utilizing the blade LED technology found in the company's Vulcan supercar, creating a distinctive rear profile.


The interior has been luxuriously finished by Aston Martin's bespoke division, 'Q,' using the finest materials. Unique 'Z' pattern quilting adorns the seats and door sections, while Zagato's initial 'Z' is embossed on the headrests and stitched onto the center console.

Mike Reiman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, commented, "Similar to the coupe, we have succeeded in creating a muscular form by emphasizing the interplay of curves across the body surface. We focused on a flowing rear design. This model demonstrates the evolution of Aston Martin's design through our long-standing collaboration with Zagato. It also strengthens the cooperative relationship between both brands in the automotive manufacturing process."

The Vanquish Zagato Volante meets the expectations of users desiring an open-top model, with only 99 units being produced. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2017.
