Renault Twingo Gordini Renault Sport Gets a Minor Refresh

The "Twingo Gordini Renault Sport," a hot hatch powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 134ps in a lightweight, compact 1,050kg body, is set to arrive in Japan following a minor model update.

A Bold Refresh for a Powerful Presence

While the updated model was announced in January and went on sale in February in its home market,Twingo Gordini Renault Sportthe new "Twingo Gordini Renault Sport" is finally being introduced to Japan.

This minor update features significant refinements to the front section, including a new front bumper with integrated large fog lamps and the adoption of the "F1-style blade" under the bumper, a common feature on recent "Renault Sport" models.

The rear also sees substantial visual changes, with a redesigned bumper and spoiler, and the adoption of four taillights.

The engine remains the same 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder DOHC unit, with no changes to the maximum output of 134ps (98kW) or peak torque of 160Nm. It has also been announced that new body colors will be added to the "Twingo Gordini Renault Sport." Full details will be announced by Renault Japon in mid-July.
