Renault Twingo Gets RS and Gordini RS Models | Renault
RENAULT TWINGO R.S.|Renault Twingo R.S.
The new Renault Twingo, with its updated design revealed at the end of July last year and released in January, has a more modern image, enhanced by its distinctive four-headlight front face. Now, sportier "R.S." and "Gordini R.S." versions are arriving.

Equipped with an F1-style blade
The most striking exterior feature of these new "R.S." and "Gordini R.S." models, based on the standard Twingo, is the adoption of the same "F1-style blade" found on the "Clio R.S." under the front bumper. It appears Renault is extending this design element across its performance models bearing the Renault Sport name.
The engine remains the same 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve unit as the previous model, with peak output of 134hp (98kW) at 6,750rpm and maximum torque of 160Nm at 4400rpm. However, CO2 emissions have been reduced by 3.2 percent to 150g/km, and fuel economy has improved by 3 percent to 18.5km/ℓ. Additionally, the R.S. features larger front (280mm diameter) and rear (240mm diameter) disc brakes, with an optional chassis that lowers the ride height by 4mm. The higher-grade Gordini R.S. comes with 17-inch wheels and offers a choice of blue or grey interior, regardless of the body color.
Orders will open in France on February 20, 2012. Pricing starts at €16,900 for the R.S. and €18,100 for the Gordini R.S.
