A Motorcycle Engine with 215ps Maximum Output Paired with a 6-Speed Transmission
"Honda Project 2&4 Powered by RC213V" is a concept model selected from an in-house competition called the "Global Design Project," in which over 80 designers from Honda's motorcycle and automobile design studios worldwide participated.
Inspired by F1 machines active in the 1960s, it is a car with a mid-ship engine layout, yet it is composed of a motorcycle-like frame and body cowl. Its characteristic feature is the open-air experience felt through the entire body thanks to its exposed floating seats, combining the openness of a motorcycle with the driving dynamics of a car.
The powertrain utilizes the 999cc V4 engine mounted on the road-legal version of the MotoGP (FIM Road Racing Grand Prix) machine "RC213V," the "RC213-V." As befits a motorcycle engine, it delivers a maximum output of 215ps at a high 13,000rpm, paired with a specially developed 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Frankfurt Motor ShowPress days will be held on September 15th and 16th local time, with public access from September 19th to 27th.
