The Best of Both Performance and Looks

Mercedes-Benz Japan has announced the introduction of theC-Class, equipped with Mercedes-AMG technology, theC 450 AMG 4MATIC. The "C 450 AMG 4MATIC" is the first in the new "AMG Sport Model" series newly launched by Mercedes-AMG.

This is a new variation positioned between Mercedes-Benz's standard models and the high-performance AMG models, for those who desire the looks and performance of a C-Class or higher, but do not want the extreme nature of an AMG.



The power unit features a lightweight design with an aluminum crankcase and cylinder head, representing an enhancement of the base engine. It delivers a maximum output of 367 ps and a maximum torque of 520 Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds (sedan type). Furthermore, combined with the "AMG Exhaust System," it produces a captivating V6 sound befitting a high-performance model, constantly stimulating the driver's senses.

The suspension utilizes components from the C-Class's flagship model, theC 63, and includes a high-performance brake system with enhanced braking power and fade resistance. Another significant feature is the first-ever installation of the "AMG 4MATIC" all-wheel-drive system, developed by Mercedes-AMG, in the C-Class, providing superior driving stability.



The exterior has been modified for an aggressive look befitting a sports model, featuring a single-louver diamond grille, an AMG trunk lid spoiler lip, and 19-inch AMG twin-spoke alloy wheels. The front spoiler and rear diffuser are finished in high-gloss black, adding sporty accents and refining the stance.

Both sedan and station wagon body types are available, with prices starting at 8.63 million yen for the sedan and 9.43 million yen for the station wagon. The steering wheel will only be available in the left-hand drive configuration, a highly requested option. The official launch is scheduled for September.
