Dynamic and Elegant Exterior

The new C 63 AMG, announced in February 2011. While its launch in its home market was announced for this summer, pre-orders have already commenced in Japan. The most significant news is undoubtedly the arrival of the new coupe model.

Compared to the sedan and station wagon, the coupe's significantly lower ride height contributes to a flowing silhouette. Across all models, the design is both dynamic and elegant. The front features a newly designed radiator grille with a prominent three-pointed star, and the bonnet is made of aluminum. The wheels are fitted with wide tires – 235/40R18 at the front and 255/35R18 at the rear – complemented by widened front fenders.

The interior offers a sporty yet high-quality space. The dashboard, integrated with the monitor, and the instrument panel are equipped with a dedicated multi-function display and three independent circular gauges. Further enhancing the sporty ambiance are the AMG steering wheel and shift paddles made of aluminum. The seats are AMG-logoed sports seats with integrated headrests, upholstered in exquisite designo Nappa leather.

Enhanced Performance with AMG Performance Package

The engine is a high-revving, naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V8 unit, delivering a formidable 336 kW (457 hp) at 6,800 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. This exceptional performance enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).

The transmission is the "AMG Speedshift MCT (7-speed electronic control automatic transmission)." By employing a wet multi-plate clutch instead of a conventional torque converter, it achieves direct throttle response and swift gear changes, while also contributing to significant improvements in fuel efficiency compared to traditional automatic transmissions.

Furthermore, the "AMG Performance Package" is available as an option. This package incorporates forged pistons, connecting rods, and a lightweight crankshaft from the SLS AMG's engine, boosting maximum output to 358 kW (487 hp) and further enhancing agility and responsiveness. It also includes a grey-painted variable intake manifold, AMG high-performance braking system, a carbon fiber spoiler lip, and an AMG steering wheel (Nappa leather, Alcantara grip), priced at 1.25 million yen.

Pricing starts at 10.85 million yen for the coupe (left-hand/right-hand drive), 10.75 million yen for the sedan (left-hand/right-hand drive), and 10.95 million yen for the station wagon. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October.
