The First Hybrid Car to Feature a 6-Speed Manual Transmission

The "CR-Z" offers the exhilaration of agile driving while remaining an environmentally friendly hybrid car. Now, a new grade, the "α・Black Label," has been introduced, equipped with a black interior and 16-inch lightweight aluminum wheels.

The "CR-Z," powered by Honda's "IMA" hybrid system, is the first hybrid car to adopt a 6-speed manual transmission (a CVT with paddle shifters is also available). The 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine produces a maximum output of 84kW (114ps) at 6,000rpm and a maximum torque of 145Nm (14.8kgm) at 4,800rpm. The motor generates a maximum output of 10kW (14ps) at 1,500rpm and a maximum torque of 78Nm (8.0kgm) at 1,000rpm. Fuel economy, measured by the 10-15 mode, is 22.5km/ℓ for the 6-speed manual model and 25.0km/ℓ for the CVT.

A Limited-Time Premium Yellow Pearl Body Color Also Available

The "α・Black Label" is based on the premium "α" grade, with the front seats, door linings, and meter visor unified in black to create a sense of advanced design and premium quality. Metal premium pedals are equipped on the accelerator, brake, and clutch pedals, while the footwell is enhanced with 16-inch lightweight aluminum wheels finished in pewter gray metallic paint.

Additionally, for orders placed by March 2012, a sporty Premium Yellow Pearl II body color is available for both the "α・Black Label" and "α" grades at an additional cost of ¥31,500.

The other six available colors are Dark Pewter Metallic, Horizon Turquoise Pearl, Premium White Pearl, Milano Red, Crystal Black Pearl, and Storm Silver Metallic.

The price is set at ¥2,510,000, which is ¥12,000 higher than the "α" grade.
