The engine is Aston Martin's own 4.7-liter V8, producing a maximum output of 321kW (436ps) at 7,300rpm and a maximum torque of 490Nm (50.0kgm) at 5,000rpm. This represents an increase of 7kW (10ps) and 20Nm (2kgm) respectively compared to the base V8 Vantage model, with a top speed of 305km/h.
The transmission is the 7-speed, 2-pedal manual "Sportshift II," developed specifically for this model. Gear changes are said to be 20 percent faster than the V8 Vantage's 6-speed, 2-pedal manual "Sportshift." Furthermore, pressing the "Sport" button is said to provide an even more exhilarating acceleration feel. The final drive ratio is 4.182:1, which is considerably lower than the base model's 3.909:1, promising sharp acceleration performance. The steering has also been made sportier with a revised gear ratio from 17:1 to 15:1, resulting in 2.6 turns lock-to-lock.
The suspension has also been upgraded. The front brakes feature larger 380mm discs with 6-piston calipers, while the rear brakes measure 330mm. Additionally, new springs and dampers have been fitted, along with a suite of electronic aids. Beyond ABS and traction control, the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) have also been refined for this model. The standard tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE050, with 245/40 R19 fitted at the front and 285/35 R19 at the rear.
The exterior has also been thoroughly revised, featuring a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, large air intakes, a new rear bumper design, and carbon fiber accents on the diffuser. Visually, it presents an impression closer to the V12 Vantage than the V8 Vantage.
The interior boasts sports seats with "Vantage S" logos embroidered exclusively for this model, along with unique trim and stitching on the seats.
