Enveloped in Velvet

The Rolls-Royce vehicle to be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show is a special creation by the company's Bespoke Design team. Dubbed "Serenity," a name signifying tranquility and peace, this car draws inspiration from silk, a material historically cherished by royalty and nobility as a symbol of power, much like the velvets and other fine textiles they favored.

Serenity is a one-off model conceived as a benchmark for a new era of luxury, aiming for the most opulent and magnificent interior imaginable. It embodies the pinnacle of craftsmanship, creativity, and the use of the finest silk textiles, serving as a showcase for what only Rolls-Royce can achieve.

While the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design team sought inspiration for luxurious interiors in the marque's historical models, which have long served as transport for royalty and leaders, they also achieved an innovative, modern, and serene interior through a contemporary interpretation that bridges European furniture design with Japanese kimono aesthetics.

Currently, only design sketches have been released. According to the accompanying descriptions, the dashboard features bespoke meters, the panels are crafted from smoked cherry wood, the silk-upholstered roof is adorned with floral illustrations reminiscent of kimono patterns, and the door trims showcase mother-of-pearl inlay depicting flowers. Furthermore, the area beneath the rear seat cushions is finished with wood panels, while the floor and seat headrests are upholstered in silk.

This exceptionally luxurious, one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
