Expanding into Space, Showcasing Diverse Mobility Across Land, Sea, and Air

At the Japan Mobility Show, President Mibe stated, "Our aim has been to inspire excitement about the future Honda envisions."

Honda 0 α Prototype

A highlight is the world premiere of the "Honda 0 α (Alpha) Prototype," an SUV from the next-generation EV series "Honda 0 (Zero)" that Honda plans to launch globally, primarily in Japan and India, by fiscal year 2027.

The "Honda 0 (Zero)" series, developed with a unique approach of "Thin, Light, and Wise," challenges the conventional notion that EVs must be "thick and heavy." Prototypes for the flagship "Honda 0 Saloon" and "Honda 0 SUV" had previously been unveiled.

Honda 0 SUV

The newly world-premiered "Honda 0 Alpha" is a model that embodies the sleek, sophisticated design characteristic of the 0 series, combined with SUV appeal. Based on the "Thin." philosophy, its packaging design achieves a spacious and comfortable interior despite a slim cabin profile.

Super-ONE Prototype

Also making its world debut is the "Super-ONE Prototype," a playful compact EV characterized by its powerful performance.

Despite its compact size, it features a stable, wide stance and a "Boost Mode." Honda claims it will offer a fusion of EV acceleration and the enjoyment of gasoline-powered vehicles, with the engine sound resonating in sync with gear shifts, similar to a conventional car, as output increases.

The "Super-ONE" is slated for deployment starting in Japan in 2026, with subsequent launches in regions with high demand for compact EVs, such as various Asian countries and the UK.

Acura RSX

Making its Japan debut is the prototype of the Acura brand's next-generation EV, the "Acura RSX." This will be the first model to adopt Honda's proprietary next-generation EV platform and will feature the unique "ASIMO OS" vehicle operating system, which learns user driving preferences for a "hyper-personalized" experience. Although not planned for introduction in Japan due to its Acura branding, it is a noteworthy vehicle at the Honda booth.

EV OUTLIER Concept

Honda's motorcycles were also on display. This year, instead of extending existing lines, Honda presented the world premiere of the "EV OUTLIER Concept," proposing a new vision for motorcycles beyond 2030.

Leveraging the high degree of layout freedom afforded by electric powertrains, the concept features in-wheel motors for both front and rear wheels, achieving a dynamic and low-profile style.

Additionally, Honda showcased a mockup of the "HondaJet Elite II" small business jet and large outboard motors. Furthermore, an experimental aircraft used in a rocket launch and landing experiment conducted in Hokkaido in June 2025 was also on display, underscoring Honda's expanding endeavors into space to broaden the "joy of freedom in mobility."

The Japan Mobility Show 2025 will be open to the public from Friday, October 31st, 1:30 PM, to Sunday, November 9th, at Tokyo Big Sight.
