Safe passage in tight spaces

Jaguar Land Rover will equip the concept car "Discovery Vision Concept," to be unveiled at the New York Auto Show, with a new high-tech feature that allows drivers to see through the bonnet, enhancing safety.

This function processes image data captured by cameras in the front grille and projects it onto the head-up display. As a result, drivers can see through the bonnet as if it were transparent, allowing them to check for obstacles in their blind spots and the condition of the tires.

This technology, realized through augmented reality (AR), is designed to increase driver confidence in SUVs, which often have significant blind spots, whether navigating narrow roads, parking in tight spots with low curbs, traversing rocky terrain, or maneuvering through narrow alleys with small obstacles.

Following introductions to its silhouette and interior, the concept model of the next-generation Discovery has now revealed its groundbreaking feature. Its full form will be unveiled shortly.
