Renault Introduces Updated Koleos to Japan

Renault has introduced the minor-changed version of its SUV model, the Koleos, to Japan. Sales began on November 14th.

A New Renault Face

The Koleos is an SUV model jointly developed by Renault, Nissan, and Samsung. This minor change was announced at the Buenos Aires International Motor Show in June.AnnouncedWhile models with diesel engines and manual transmissions exist in France, only the "Intense" model is being introduced to Japan. It is equipped with a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine producing 170 ps and drives all four wheels via a CVT with a 6-speed manual mode.

The minor change has revamped the front mask, emphasizing the large corporate badge characteristic of the latest Renault face and the horizontal lines extending from it. New designs for the 18-inch alloy wheels and side protectors, featuring chrome trim, have also been adopted.

Inside, the interior has been enhanced with features such as a power passenger seat and wood-grain trim on the center console, elevating the sense of luxury. The audio system is a standard BOSE sound system with 7 speakers and a subwoofer, specifically designed for the vehicle. Furthermore, a blind-spot warning system has been added to alert the driver to vehicles in their blind spots.

The new Koleos is available in five colors, including the new Marron Metallic. The price is ¥3,748,000. It will also be exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show, which begins next Friday.Tokyo Motor ShowIt will be on display.
