World Premiere for Model Adopting Compressed Natural Gas Technology

Mazda is incorporating its "SKYACTIV" technology, which enhances environmental performance and driving dynamics, across its vehicle lineup. At the Tokyo Motor Show, cars embodying the "KODO – Soul of Motion" design theme, expressing vitality, will be displayed alongside the latest technological advancements.

The centerpiece is the "Axela" section. The Axela, which accounts for over 30% of Mazda's global sales, is set to launch in Japan on the 21st of next month. Among these, the "Mazda3 SKYACTIV-CNG" concept model, utilizing compressed natural gas, will make its world debut. This model adopts compressed natural gas (CNG) technology, which is seeing growing global demand, and can reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 20% compared to a gasoline engine car of the same displacement, offering a cleaner driving experience.
