Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati Showcase Distinctive Models
Frankfurt Motor Showat the Fiat Group's brands,Ferrariwhich we reported on recently, did not present major spectacles, but each announced unique models. Here is an on-site report by Motohiro Yamazaki.

The booths for Fiat, Abarth, and also Alfa Romeo andMaseratiwere all focused on special editions and the announcement of 2014 models.
30th Anniversary of the Original Panda 4x4
At the Fiat booth, a standout special presence was the limited edition " Panda 4x4 Antartica"Panda 4x4 Antartica." Similar to when the original Panda debuted, it features a black and white two-tone color scheme. This limited edition, equipped with various special features designed for mobility, is expected to go on sale by the end of this year.
Furthermore, the "500" series has seen a significant expansion of its engine variations. The popular TwinAir in the market now has a 105ps version added.
Two Special Abarths
Abarth announced two limited editions based on the "595" and "695" models.A limited edition of 299 units celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Abarth 595's creationand the planned production of only 49 units, the "695 Maserati Edition" are the models in question. Both feature a 1.4-liter 180ps engine paired with the Abarth Competizione automatic manual gearbox. These models, with their compelling performance and anticipated intense competition for acquisition, are poised to excite Abarth enthusiasts.
Alfa Romeo Deepens Refinement of Existing Models
Alfa Romeo presented the 2014 models of the "Giulietta" and the "MiTo". For the Giulietta, key updates include a revised front grille, new wheel designs, and additional body colors. Inside, the infotainment system featuring the latest touchscreen is a notable enhancement. The engine lineup now includes a 150ps 2.0 JTDM2 engine.
The 2014 MiTo model also features updates to its front fascia and an expanded engine selection. These new generation models are expected to be introduced sequentially in Japan.
Maserati Collaborates with a Fashion Brand
Maserati also unveiled a limited edition collaboration with the fashion brand Ermenegildo Zegna, the "Ermenegildo Zegna Edition", based on the "new Quattroporte". The luxurious interior, crafted by Zegna, is truly worth seeing. This is a model that is likely to be popular in Japan as well.
