Compact Sport Hatch with EcoBoost Engine
The Fiesta, a flagship compact car sold by Ford of Europe, will have its high-performance grade unveiled for the first time in Asia at the Shanghai Motor Show.
The B-segment body, approximately 4 meters long and 1.7 meters wide, is powered by a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine, producing a maximum output of 182ps and a peak torque of 240Nm (North American specification: 197ps maximum output, 290Nm peak torque). It achieves 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 220km/h. Fuel economy is announced at 5.9ℓ/100km, with CO2 emissions at 138g/km.
In conjunction with this, the brakes and suspension have also been upgraded. Furthermore, torque vectoring, which improves cornering by independently controlling the rotation of the left and right drive wheels, is also a dedicated feature, and the stability control system offers three modes.
The interior has also been specially appointed for the ST, featuring exclusive leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum footplates, and half-leather Recaro seats, among other sporty amenities.
While its introduction to Japan is yet undecided, we hope for the arrival of Ford's compact sport hatch in Japan.
