The Ultimate XJR Arrives for the Flagship XJ
Jaguar Land Rover has announced the XJR, the sportiest grade for Jaguar's flagship four-door saloon, the XJ, which will be unveiled next week at theNew York Auto Show 2013.

A Fusion of High Performance and Luxury
Jaguar's top-tier sedan, theXJ, now features a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine delivering 550ps, a dedicated chassis, and aerodynamic enhancements for the "XJR." Jaguar claims it offers the XJ series' finest agility and responsiveness, achieving a superior balance of high performance and luxury.
According to pre-released photos, the background of the Jaguar badge on the front is red, unlike the usual black, signifying its special status. Below it, the R mark differs from those on theXKRandXFR, featuring a two-tone divided circle, similar to the design seen on theF-TYPEandXFR-S.
Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director for Jaguar, stated, "The new XJR embodies the three pillars of the 21st-century Jaguar: technology, performance, and contemporary design, elevating the dynamic capabilities of the luxury saloon to a new level."—
At the New York Auto Show, Jaguar will also unveil its R Performance line, the F-TYPE, andall-wheel-drive XF and XJ models.
