The Smiling C3
The "C3," Citroen's smallest model in its current Japanese lineup, has been minor changed and will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2013.
"The C3 surpasses the C3. We have redefined the C3 and made it even more appealing."
This is how Citroen describes the new C3.
The most striking exterior change is at the front. Citroen describes it as "smiling," with a redesigned lower front bumper intake and the relocation of the LED daytime running lights to the bumper.
The distinctive "Zenith" panoramic windscreen, which extends to the B-pillar and offers an open interior feel, has been retained. The taillights have beenDS3updated to a reflective-refractive type, first seen on the "DS3." The car is available in nine body colors. A back-view monitor and parking sensors can now also be fitted.
There are no major changes to the interior. Chrome accents continue to feature, and trim options include matte black, warm brown, or "Moon Dust Grey." Bluetooth connectivity and USB ports are also available.
Three-Cylinder Gasoline Engine Model Introduced
Peugeot "208"One of the significant highlights of this minor change is the improved environmental performance thanks to the newly adopted three-cylinder gasoline engine, also found in the Peugeot 208.
Citroen boasts this engine as lightweight, precise, highly efficient, with low friction, lively, and responsive. Two versions are available: a 1.0-liter with 68 ps and a 1.2-liter with 82 ps, achieving fuel economy of 4.3-4.5 L/100km and CO2 emissions of 99-104 g/km.
Additionally, the familiar 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 120 ps remains available.
In Europe, five diesel engines are also offered: HDi70, e-HDi70, HDi90, e-HDi90, and e-HDi115. The "e-" prefixed engines feature a start-stop system, with CO2 emissions starting at 87 g/km, offering class-leading environmental performance.
It will be released in France in April 2013.
In addition to the new C3, Citroen will also exhibit the C3 equipped with
Hybrid Air
which achieves fuel economy of approximately 2.9 L/100km by using gasoline, air, or both as energy, positioned as the next-generation "C4 Picasso"Technospace Conceptat the Geneva Motor Show 2013.
