Securing Space Beyond Touring

BMW's highly acclaimed3 Series" series, following the sedan andTouring (Wagon)The third body variation, following the Touring (wagon), is set to debut. Featuring an active spoiler at the rear and a hatchback body with a spacious interior, the "BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo" will make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.

BMW claims that this 3 Series Gran Turismo combines the sporty character of the sedan with the practicality and versatility comparable to the Touring. Compared to the 3 Series Touring, the body is 200mm longer, the wheelbase is 110mm longer, and the height is 81mm greater. This results in a more spacious interior, with a higher seating position offering better visibility, increased headroom, and an additional 70mm of rear legroom.

The model lineup will start with the "335i Gran Turismo" powered by a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine, followed by the 2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engines "328i Gran Turismo" and "320i Gran Turismo," and the 2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engines "320d Gran Turismo" and "318d Gran Turismo."

Similar to the 3 Series, in addition to the standard model, package options such as Sport Line, Luxury Line, Modern Line, and M Sport Package will be available. The launch is expected around July 2013.
