BMW Announces Detroit Auto Show Display
At the 2013 North American International Auto Show, held in January 2013, BMW will unveil its new lineup, centered around the “Concept 4 Series Coupe,” the enhanced "Z4" with its model lineup and package options, and the special limited edition "1 Series."M6 Gran Coupe”

World Premiere for Concept 4 Series Coupe and M6 Gran Coupe
As already reported by OPENERS, the BMW mid-range coupe "Concept 4 Series," characterized by its flowing and distinctive body design, will make its world debut at the North American International Auto Show, commencing January 14, 2013. This is positioned as a coupe version of the latest "3 Series", but its styling emphasizes a wide and low stance, with a longer and wider body and a lower roofline than previous 3 Series coupes.

Also making its world premiere in Detroit will be the "M6 Gran Coupe," a model tuned by BMW M based on the "6 Series Gran Coupe." It boasts specifications comparable to the "M6 Coupe/Convertible” while offering the practicality and elegance of a four-door coupe body, representing the latest in "M" performance.
Z4 Gains an Entry-Level Grade
The roadster model, the "Z4", will receive minor exterior and interior revisions, along with the addition of new package options and an entry-grade model.
The most significant new package is "Design Pure Traction." This option allows for the selection of three new body colors – "Mineral Grey Metallic," "Glacier Silver Metallic," and "Valencia Orange Metallic" – complemented by matching interior finishes.
Additionally, new designs for 17-inch and 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels will be introduced.
Furthermore, an entry-grade model named "Z4 sDrive18i" will be added, equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine producing a maximum output of 115 kW (156 hp) at 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 240 Nm between 1,250 and 4,400 rpm. Despite being an entry model, an 8-speed automatic transmission is available. It achieves 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds (8.1 seconds for AT) and a top speed of 221 km/h (220 km/h for AT), with fuel consumption at 6.8 L/100 km and CO2 emissions of 159 g/km.
This Z4 is scheduled for release in March 2013.
1 Series Coupe/Convertible Features Luxurious Limited Edition
The coupe and convertible models,the first generation model known as the E87, and the hatchback model,the second-generation model known as the F20, are part of the "1 Series" lineup. For the coupe and convertible variants of the 1 Series, a special limited edition called "Limited Edition Lifestyle" will be offered, featuring a luxurious interior and exterior.
This model will feature a metallic paint called "Mineral White," along with "Sapphire Black" and "Space Grey" body colors, and 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The iconic BMW kidney grille bars will have white detailing. For the convertible model, a brown soft top with silver flecks will be used. The interior will be finished in tobacco brown leather with white stitching accents.
As in Japan, BMW is also promoting its "EfficientDynamics" strategy in the United States. At this show, in addition to the aforementioned new models, displays will include ActiveHybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid models represented by the "i8", the electric vehicle "i3", and hydrogen engine models, all showcasing high environmental performance.
