Debut in Detroit

The "MINI John Cooper Works Paceman" is positioned as the highest-performance model of the "MINI Paceman," which can be described as the two-door version of the "MINI Crossover." It is the seventh John Cooper Works (JCW) model. Its first public appearance was at the North American International Auto Show in January 2013, also known as the Detroit Motor Show.

Like previous JCW models, it will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The engine, which drives all four wheels and achieves 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.9 seconds, is a 1,598cc inline 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine producing a maximum output of 160 kW (218 hp) at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 280 Nm at 1,900-5,000 rpm. In terms of specifications, it is the same as the fastest MINI, the "MINI John Cooper Works GP".

With the familiar overboost function, the maximum torque temporarily increases to 300 Nm at 2,100-4,500 rpm. On the other hand, the adoption of ""Valvetronic", which sharpens throttle response while efficiently managing the engine, achieves fuel economy of 7.4 L/100 km (7.9 L/100 km for AT) and CO2 emissions of 172 g/km (184 g/km for AT).



The "MINI John Cooper Works Paceman" comes standard with an aerodynamic kit and is dressed up with 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels, chrome tailpipes, and door sills bearing the John Cooper Works logo. Of course, the customization options are abundant, allowing you to choose your preferred features, such as a roof in a contrasting color or an interior with Chili Red trim.
