The "TeRRA" is a fuel cell vehicle developed based on Nissan's urban crossover SUVs, such as the "Murano" and "Qashqai" (known as "Dualis" in Japan).LeafIt will be exhibited at the Paris Motor Show as a four-wheel-drive vehicle that achieves zero emissions, a feat honed through Nissan's EV development.

The striking exterior design, according to the designers, began with "imagining the natural landscapes of Northern Europe." Simultaneously, it incorporates Nissan's vision of "a zero-emission future," reinterpreting "the tradition of SUVs in a more robust manner."

Opening the coach doors reveals an interior where beech wood door panels and metal frames harmonize, creating a soft, refined space that contrasts with the exterior's rugged image.

A notable feature is the system where the car starts by inserting an electronic tablet. This tablet serves as the instrument cluster and can easily switch to entertainment, communication, and navigation functions. Even when not driving, the tablet retains its functionality, enabling seamless communication both on and off the road.

The four-wheel-drive system uses the same components as the "Leaf" for the front wheels and in-wheel motors for the rear. Since the rear-wheel drive does not require a drive shaft, it allows for a flat floor.

There is ample space under the hood to accommodate Nissan's proprietary hydrogen fuel cell. Furthermore, the latest fuel cell, which is compact and boasts a world-leading power density of 2.5kW/L, requires one-quarter of the rare metals and costs one-sixth compared to the conventional model developed in 2005.

The "TeRRA" demonstrates Nissan's readiness to mass-produce fuel cell vehicles as soon as infrastructure like hydrogen stations becomes available.
