Equipped with a Clean Diesel Engine Compliant with Euro 6

Mazda's new flagship model, the "Mazda6 (Atenza in Japan)," had its sedan model debut at the recent Moscow Motor Show, drawing attention for its sharp styling based on Mazda's new design theme, "Kodo – Soul of Motion," first introduced in the "CX-5." Following the sedan, the wagon model will have its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show 2012.

The vehicles exhibited at the Paris Motor Show 2012 will include two "Mazda6" wagon models and one sedan model, for a total of three vehicles. All will be equipped with Mazda's new-generation clean diesel engine, "SKYACTIV-D 2.0," also featured in the "CX-5." This engine will be available in two variants – high power and standard power – both reportedly compliant with Europe's "Euro 6" emissions standards.

In addition to the diesel engine, two gasoline engines will be offered: the "SKYACTIV-G 2.0" and "SKYACTIV-G 2.5." These engines, designed to balance high driving performance with environmental efficiency, will feature the "i-ELOOP" brake energy recovery system.

Sales in Europe are slated to begin within 2012.
