Powered by a 2.5-liter TFSI
While not yet available in Japan, the current model, already sold in Europe, is equipped with a 2.0-liter TFSI engine producing up to 155kW (211ps).Q3However, this "RS Q3 concept" is powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine, boosting maximum output to 265kW (360ps), achieving 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 265km/h. It features a 7-speed S tronic transmission and Audi's signature quattro all-wheel drive system.
Meticulously Crafted Details
A key characteristic of the RS Q3 concept is its elaborate design, with both the exterior and interior exuding sportiness down to the finest details.
For instance, the front alone showcases significant effort, featuring a newly designed bumper with large air intakes, a carbon fiber lip spoiler split into a clear coat with a subtle blue tint on the upper half and a matte finish on the lower, and smoked headlights incorporating carbon elements. Furthermore, the 255/30 low-profile tires, unusual for an SUV, and a ride height lowered by 25mm compared to the standard model, impart a more aggressive character distinct from the regular Q3.
The interior is primarily black, accented with blue. The instrument panel and seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather, with blue sections using Alcantara leather. The steering wheel and other blue elements on the panels and trim are made of carbon fiber. The Chinese characters for the tachometer's numbers appear to be a nod to the host country and a touch of playfulness.
Looking into the engine bay, the 2,480cc TFSI turbo engine, housed in a compartment surrounded by carbon fiber, features red-painted cylinder covers and cylinder numbers on the plug cover, reminiscent of racing cars.
This RS Q3 concept, which pours considerable effort not only into high performance but also into sporty styling, will make its debut at the Beijing International Motor Show starting on the 24th.
