Filling the Gap Between S and Turbo
The Cayenne GTS is a model that has had its 4.8-liter V8 engine, originally for the Cayenne S, tuned to increase its maximum output from 400ps (294kW) to 420ps (309kW). Within the Cayenne lineup, it is positioned between the Cayenne S and the top-grade "Cayenne Turbo," which is equipped with a supercharged 500ps (368kW) engine, making it the top-grade model in the naturally aspirated lineup. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 261km/h.
Along with the engine, the chassis has also undergone significant improvements. Compared to the Cayenne S, the ride height has been lowered by 24mm for a lower center of gravity, and the Porsche Active Suspension Management system (PASM) is equipped, enhancing both stability and agility. Meanwhile, features such as the auto start/stop function and the 8-speed Tiptronic have been adopted, achieving improved fuel efficiency with a fuel consumption (measured by NEDC: New European Driving Cycle) of 10.7ℓ/100km (approximately 9.35km/ℓ).
Visually, it presents a more aggressive impression than the Cayenne S, with a front similar to the Cayenne Turbo, pronounced wheel arches, and flared side skirts, giving it a more Turbo-like aesthetic. The interior also features Alcantara trim and GTS-exclusive sports seats, creating a luxurious yet sporty atmosphere.
The Cayenne GTS will be unveiled in Beijing on April 23rd. We plan to provide more detailed information at that time.
