Regina Renamed G70
The "G70," touted as a new vision for compact cars achieved through the pursuit of aerodynamic performance and weight reduction. Previously known as "REGINA,"concept car unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2012it shares the same identity. The name "G70" is derived from the car's CO2 emissions of 70g/km (compliant with the New European Driving Cycle), as CO2 emissions are a significant focus in Europe. Its impressive fuel economy of 32km/ℓ is attributed to an 800cc direct-injection gasoline 3-cylinder turbo engine and a lightweight body weighing 730kg. Aerodynamically, its drag coefficient (cd value) is over 10 percent better compared to Suzuki's A-segment models.
Swift Range Extender Based on Current Swift
Following the first generation, presented as the "Swift Plug-in Hybrid" at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and later renamed "Swift Range Extender," this second-generation model is based on the current Swift and is a range-extender electric vehicle, meaning it is a Swift equipped with a generator engine.
As the base is a small car, the battery is also small, limiting the cruising range on a 100 percent charge to 30km. However, this allows for quicker charging, and its lightweight nature means it does not demand significant energy resources, which are considered its strengths.
