Limited to 40 Units: 20 Coupés and 20 Volantes
The UB-2010 is a limited production model based on the "DBS." It is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 517 ps at 6500 rpm and 58.1 kgm of torque at 5750 rpm. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or the "Touchtronic" 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
In addition to its overwhelming performance, the use of an all-aluminum body contributes to weight reduction, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 307 km/h.
The exterior is painted in a bespoke Azurite Black. Inside, the seats are finished in Metallic Bronze leather, and the dashboard and door trims feature Cryptic Titanium panels.
Named "UB-2010" after the initials of Dr. Ulrich Bez to honor his achievements, this limited edition model will be produced in a total of 40 units: 20 coupés and 20 open-top "Volantes."
BRAND HISTORY
Aston Martin, the British marque, is currently drawing global attention as the coolest sports car brand. Founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, the small company adopted the Aston Martin name after achieving success in hill climbs known as Aston Clinton, and has since left a brilliant mark on the history of motorsport and sports cars.
Conversely, the company has faced numerous financial crises, each time receiving a helping hand, charting a truly turbulent course. For instance, David Brown, who became owner in 1947, left his name on the sports car "DB2" and the racing machine "DBR1" by leveraging his excellent management skills and engineering acumen. More recently, Ford's sale of its stake to an investment group led by David Richards, founder of Prodrive, is still fresh in memory.
However, Aston Martin has consistently pursued the creation of sports cars imbued with potent power and beautiful styling throughout its history. The current lineup includes the "V8 Vantage" and "DB9." Furthermore, the new flagship model "DBS," which will succeed the "Vanquish," is expected to arrive in Japan in the near future.
