Production to Begin in 2010

This model is a concept car that combines the environmentally friendly package of the Toyota iQwith Aston Martin's prestige.

Not only the exterior but also the interior is lavishly appointed with premium leather, and the harmony of red and black, along with its sporty yet luxurious finish, makes one forget that this is a microcar.

Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez is also said to have stated, "This car will bring a new segment to Aston Martin in the not-too-distant future."

BRAND HISTORY
Currently, the most admired sports car brand worldwide is Britain's ASTON MARTIN. Founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, this small company took its name from its success in a hill climb event called Aston Clinton, and has since left a brilliant mark on the history of motorsport and sports cars.

Conversely, the company has faced numerous financial crises, each time receiving a helping hand, charting a truly eventful course. For example, David Brown, who became owner in 1947, left his mark with sports cars like the "DB2" and the racing machine "DBR1," leveraging his excellent management skills and engineering acumen. More recently, Ford's sale of its shares to an investment group led by David Richards, founder of Prodrive, is still fresh in memory.

However, Aston Martin has consistently pursued the creation of sports cars that possess immense power and beautiful styling throughout its history. The current lineup includes the "V8 Vantage" and "DB9." Furthermore, a new flagship model, the "DBS," which will succeed the "Vanquish," is expected to make its debut in Japan soon.
