A New Luxury Compact Car, Reimagined

The Cygnet is developed based on the Toyota " iQ" which is powered by a 1.3-liter engine. With the exception of the roof, side doors, and rear fenders, all body designs have been exclusively engineered for the Cygnet. Naturally, it features the signature trapezoidal bright-finish grille, a hallmark of Aston Martin.

The interior also boasts a luxurious finish, combining red and black leather, creating an appearance that, at first glance, seems entirely distinct from the base iQ.

The promotional video for the Cygnet, released on video-sharing sites from the 11th, showcases a variety of interior material combinations, similar to other Aston Martin models, confirming multiple variations even within the leather options.
Furthermore, Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez stated with confidence, "The Cygnet, like all Aston Martin vehicles, has been developed with absolutely no compromise." The quality of its finish is undoubtedly exceptional.

The Cygnet, a luxury city car, has been created to meet the demand for a second or third vehicle among Aston Martin owners.
Production has commenced at the company's headquarters in Gaydon, UK, with a launch scheduled for late 2011. Many are undoubtedly curious about the yet-unannounced price.

BRAND HISTORY
Currently garnering global attention as the epitome of cool sports car brands is Britain'sASTON MARTIN. Founded in 1914 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, this small company adopted the Aston Martin name after achieving success in hill-climb races near Aston Clinton. Since then, it has left a brilliant legacy in the history of motorsport and sports cars.

Conversely, the company has faced numerous financial crises, each time receiving a helping hand, charting a truly tumultuous course. For instance, David Brown, who acquired ownership in 1947, left his mark with sports cars like the "DB2" and the racing machine "DBR1," named after his initials, leveraging his exceptional management skills and engineering acumen. More recently, Ford's sale of its stake to a consortium led by Prodrive founder David Richards is still fresh in memory.

However, Aston Martin has consistently upheld its commitment to crafting sports cars that embody both potent performance and exquisite style throughout every era. The current lineup has expanded to include the "V8 Vantage," "DB9," and the four-door saloon, the "Rapide."
