Zagato Collaboration Model: Production Announced for 2012
Aston Martin has announced that the "V12 Zagato," a collaboration model with coachbuilder "Zagato" first unveiled in May, will begin production in 2012. Production will be limited to 150 units, with a price tag of £330,000 (approximately ¥42 million).

At the Villa d'Este Concours in Italy this May, it won the Design Award in the "Concept & Prototype Class." It also achieved a remarkable finish in the Nürburgring 24 Hours race in Germany in June. With accolades for both design and performance, there was strong demand for its commercial release.
Deliveries Scheduled for the Second Half of 2012
The "V12 Zagato""V12 Vantage"is based on the "V12 Vantage," and features a glamorous, beautiful body line handcrafted from aluminum and carbon fiber. Aston Martin's Design Director, Marek Reichman, commented, "The V12 Zagato, with its blend of elegance and wildness, signifies that this car is a pure thoroughbred from the world of racing."
The powertrain is a 6.0-liter V12 engine, boasting a top output of 380 kW (517 ps) at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 570 Nm at 5,750 rpm. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, 19-inch custom alloy wheels, and Pirelli tires. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h.
Reservations are already being accepted. Production will be handcrafted at Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon, UK, starting in 2012, with the first deliveries scheduled for the latter half of 2012.
