Presentation Held at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to Commemorate the Launch

The Embassy of the Republic of Latvia, with its elegant facade nestled in a quiet residential area of Shibuya, welcomed guests with a warm glow and the gentle aroma of herbs. It felt as if the very essence of Latvia's natural power had been captured within the candles.

MUNIO CANDELA, the much-talked-about candle, uses a unique approach: hand-picking wildflowers that bloom vibrantly in Latvia and using them as decoration. The products are made with 100% soy wax (a plant-based oil derived from natural soybeans), dried herbs, essential oils, and unbleached, lead-free wicks. Because they use entirely natural ingredients, these candles burn approximately 1.5 times longer than conventional ones.

Furthermore, soy candles are made with ingredients that are gentle on the human body, making the melted wax safe even if it comes into contact with skin. They also do not produce black soot, thus avoiding stains on walls, ceilings, or furniture.

Additionally, the Fragrance Rounds, crafted from the same material as the candles, require no fire or electricity. Simply placing them in living rooms, entryways, or closets releases a pleasant herbal scent, infusing everyday spaces with tranquility.

The packaging utilizes unbleached recycled cardboard, free from chemical treatments. It received the Best Package Award at a design competition hosted by map contemporary in 2009.
