A Review of the "Chocolatte Soap" Experience

Yerba mate, acai berry, chocolate, Amazonian clay──wembe is a handmade soap collection born in Paraguay, crafted with whole, wild ingredients like South American yerba mate, acai berries, and chocolate. We tried the "Chocolatte Soap," a treatment soap made with rich, raw ingredients derived from Brazilian cacao beans, sourced from deep within the jungle.

The brand wembe was created by Regina and Rolando Zuccolillo, inspired by ancient Paraguayan recipes for homemade soaps that incorporated whole fruits and herbs gathered from gardens and forests. This tradition has been passed down through generations in Paraguay.

The "Chocolatte Soap" features cacao butter as its main ingredient. It is said to easily blend with the stratum corneum, softening and moisturizing dry, rough skin. Its oleic acid and cacao polyphenols are excellent for healing damage. Furthermore, cacao polyphenols are noted for their antioxidant properties, with studies showing they are more effective at removing free radicals that cause aging than red wine.

Rubbing the soap between your palms releases a sweet cacao aroma, and the soap ingredients readily lather. While it may seem to produce little foam initially, using a foaming net creates a rich, creamy lather. Washing gently while enjoying the cacao scent transforms your cleansing routine into a delightful experience.

After rinsing off the lather thoroughly, the skin feels plump and soft. The lasting hydration from the cacao butter is a welcome effect. By cleansing pore impurities, dullness fades, brightening the entire complexion. Its antioxidant properties may also help with wrinkles and dark spots. This cleansing result, which makes you want to try the other ingredient soaps, is something you should definitely experience.
