A Travel Kit Exclusive to the Aoyama Store for Your Winter Getaway
Aesop is a unisex botanical skincare brand founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 1987, offering products tailored to different skin types.
While Aesop operates 31 standalone stores worldwide, including its first signature store in Sydney and a new second store in Paris, each location is distinct and reflects its local environment.
The Aesop Aoyama store was designed by Japanese architect Jo Nagasaka and Aesop founder Dennis Paphitis with a focus on contributing to the surrounding area. Paying homage to Japanese tradition, the space reuses wooden planks and beams from old houses, creating a harmonious blend of old and new materials for a simple, functional, and warm atmosphere.
Inside the store, you'll find unisex hair care, skincare, and body care items, as well as a detergent for delicate clothing, a collaboration with "A.P.C."
Furthermore, Dennis Paphitis explains, "When traveling, it's difficult to maintain one's usual routine or find favorite products. As many Aesop customers travel frequently, we created a durable, lightweight kit that effectively allows for grooming while on the go." The "TOKYO" kit, featuring all items in a mirrored microfiber pouch that meets carry-on size requirements, and the "JET SET KIT," which can also be used as refills for some products in the TOKYO kit, are popular limited editions for the Aoyama store.
