Truefitt & Hill Monitor Report

Masakatsu Miyamoto (Baritone) Sojourn in Italy (Part 2)

Road to Rome with Truefitt & Hill

After just one week of using Truefitt & Hill, Mr. Masakatsu Miyamoto found his own rhythm.
The account of his stay in Italy, accompanied by a full set of Truefitt & Hill products, now reaches its climax with the 'Road to Rome'!

Discerning Gentlemen with the Spirit of Bushido

To be honest, at first, everything was a failure. It took time, the washbasin got soaked... Frankly, I was in a state of 'Why is this happening to me...?' But having accepted the task, and having resolved to discern a gentleman, my bushido spirit would not allow me to give up halfway.

The first week of persistence. I visited Bologna to attend an opera. 'Since I'm a gentleman...' I splurged and booked a slightly larger room. I was mistaken about what it meant to be a gentleman. Oh well.

I promptly donned my gown with flair and proceeded with the familiar Truefitt & Hill routine, which I was growing accustomed to.

Well then, shall we begin? There's something satisfying about meeting my own gaze in the mirror each morning.

After just one week of use, I finally found my own rhythm. To call it a style might be an exaggeration, but the tools seemed to adapt to me. They began to feel familiar in my hands. Now, I no longer wet the washbasin more than necessary, and of course, I don't get my clothes wet. While there's likely still plenty of room for improvement, I realize that even in this beginner's state, if I follow the steps correctly, my skin condition visibly improves. This is surely a testament to the high performance of Truefitt & Hill.

Although the lather was slightly less than usual due to the time constraints for the photoshoot, I achieved my signature smooth, closely shaved skin. Strangely, despite such a close shave, I've never once cut myself.

The Effect of Daily Reflection: Understanding Your Skin's Condition in the Mirror

One might assume, 'As an opera singer, you must look in the mirror frequently,' but surprisingly, that's not the case. Before a performance, while receiving makeup, I might engage with my reflection to focus on the role, but I never find myself admiring my own image in the mirror. Truly.

Two weeks into using Truefitt & Hill, the most significant effect I've noticed, in my case, isn't the product's functionality. It's the condition of my skin, which I discover by looking in the mirror each morning. The state of my skin when I'm tired, its radiance when I'm energetic – I never realized my face could communicate so much before. To the point where I can sense my condition by how smoothly the razor glides.

Naturally, with its long history, experience, and development as a product for the elite of society, its aesthetic and functional beauty require no report from an amateur samurai like myself.

What I can say is that by consistently using Truefitt & Hill, the time I spend in dialogue with myself has increased, and that brief time is spent pleasantly, imbuing the day with a sense of exhilaration. Is this not the very manifestation of a gentleman's spirit?

Day 12 of my stay in Italy

Day 21 of my stay in Italy

Three weeks since I started. 'Do you know Truefitt & Hill? What? You don't know!?' How many times have I asked this, pretending to be knowledgeable. Repeating this phrase, which is hardly gentlemanly, is proof that I want to boast about the value of this historic product to others.

Day 21 of my stay in Italy

On the 21st day of my stay in Italy, I asked my friend, the baritone Domenico Balzani, 'Do you know Truefitt & Hill?' When he replied that he didn't, I proceeded to tell him how wonderful it is.

My three-week Italian journey with Truefitt & Hill concludes in Rome. It wasn't that I wanted to say, 'This road leads to Rome...' My mornings with Truefitt & Hill, having passed through Rome, will continue indefinitely.

Rome, the final destination of my trip, with the Trevi Fountain and my beloved Truefitt & Hill. The luxurious feel and balance of the handle, the quality of the bristles – all are superb. Still, it took courage to take this shot in front of so many tourists.
