A Watch That Achieves Lightness with Ceramic and Grade 5 Titanium, While Inheriting the Series' DNA

From OMEGA’s Seamaster collection, known for its innovative technology and cutting-edge new materials, comes the new Seamaster Planet Ocean Dark Grey, equipped with a new technical legacy.
For the first time in OMEGA’s history, silicon nitride ceramic (Si3N4) is used for the case, case back, and bezel ring. This has resulted in a timepiece that is not only lightweight but also promises toughness, making it perfect for adventure.

Silicon nitride ceramic is half the weight of zirconia ceramic, making it exceptionally light and comfortable to wear. It also offers high strength, ensuring reliable quality that can withstand harsh expeditions. In contrast, Grade 5 titanium is used for the bezel body and the folding clasp of the rubber strap.

The dial, also made of Grade 5 titanium, features a stylish sand-blasted finish. Orange accents, a date display at 3 o’clock, and dark grey hands and indices coated with white Super-LumiNova® ensure excellent legibility. Grade 5 titanium, a material commonly used in the aerospace industry, has been employed to enhance the watch’s durability without adding weight.

The movement complements the watch’s design theme with its dark aesthetic. The Grade 5 titanium OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8906 is an ultra-lightweight movement with GMT functionality, delivering the highest levels of precision and performance.

The sapphire crystal on the case back features an anti-reflective coating on both sides. With a water resistance of 600 meters, this watch continues the brilliant ocean technology legacy of the Seamaster collection.
