Featuring an evolved module, the slimmest in the series achieves both thinness and high functionality. Four new 'G-STEEL' models are released.
Casio will release four new models in the 'G-STEEL' series, featuring a fusion of different materials, on May 21, 2021. The 'GST-B400' models are the slimmest in the series (as of March 17, 2021, according to Casio Computer Co., Ltd.).

The Slimmest, Yet High-Performance and Feature-Rich Series
The new 'GST-B400' from the tough watch brand G-SHOCK achieves a stylish design with the slimmest case thickness of 12.9mm in the 'G-STEEL' series. It features a new module that achieves both thinness and high functionality through high-density mounting, which reduces the number of components in the module for miniaturization and optimizes their arrangement to reduce height.
Furthermore, the adoption of the new module, which simplifies the display to two hands and reduces the power consumption of the Bluetooth® system, has successfully reduced power consumption by 55.7% compared to the previous model (GST-B200). This allows for greater design freedom on the dial, unconstrained by solar transmission rates, and enhances the expressiveness of the face by emphasizing the metallic texture with applied bridge parts. Additionally, a sub-dial at the 9 o'clock position indicates the mode and battery status.
Available in four colors—black, silver, red x black, and blue—the watches utilize a multi-layer vapor-deposited dial that achieves high color saturation and unique color schemes. This technique involves layering transparent films to control light reflection and create the vapor-deposited colors. Through repeated prototyping, chic blue and newly developed deep red colorways have been realized.
Functionally, the watches are equipped with an automatic time correction feature linked to a dedicated app, a Time & Place function that logs your location on a map within the app via button operation, a reminder function that notifies you of scheduled events created in the app, and a high-luminosity double LED light for visibility in the dark, offering exceptional convenience.
