G-SHOCK has released three new models inspired by the "Daruma," a beloved symbol of good fortune in Japan. These playful new timepieces blend Japanese culture with a variety of clever details.

Following the "MANEKINEKO" released in January 2020, G-SHOCK, the tough watch that has continuously evolved in pursuit of uncompromising strength since its 1983 debut, introduces three new models designed around the "Daruma," an auspicious figure widely known even overseas.

The Daruma was chosen as the motif, symbolizing a fusion of G-SHOCK's "NEVER GIVE UP" spirit with the Daruma's "fall seven times, stand up eight" philosophy.

The lineup features three models: the "DW-6900," celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with its signature triple-eye design; the original square model, "DW-5600"; and the classic analog-digital combination model, "GA-100."

The "DW-6900DA" features a red body with the triple-eye design, printed with Daruma's eyebrows and mustache to create a face. The "DW-5600DA" also has a red body inspired by the Daruma, with its body pattern printed on the face; when the backlight is activated, the Daruma's face appears. The "GA-100DA" boasts a striking design with a red face, black band, and a sub-dial at the 12 o'clock position featuring a Daruma motif, embodying the Daruma throughout the watch. All three models include a Daruma print on the band keeper and come in special packaging.

The packaging, which incorporates the Daruma motif into its design, was created by BlackEyePatch, a Tokyo-based label known for its diverse work ranging from graffiti to apparel. Furthermore, the watches are made in Japan, integrating Japanese culture and various innovative features.
