Four new "Flieger" models arrive, blending robust, functional pilot watch elements with modern design.

The "Flieger," born in 1987 to commemorate the brand's 75th anniversary, has been reborn as a new series after nearly 30 years. The collection features four models—a GMT, a chronograph, and two three-hand models with case diameters of 39mm or 41mm—all incorporating new design elements into the unadorned form inherited from the original pilot's watch.

Robust watches fusing Fortis's DNA with new design elements

Fortis's new "Flieger" series reimagines traditional pilot watch elements within a contemporary style. While inheriting Fortis's long-standing aesthetic—such as the green Super-LumiNova® indices and hands contrasting with the black opaline dial, and the orange chronograph hand—these new Flieger models are equipped with specifications newly developed for this generation.

New specifications common to the series include the orange "Synchroline®" positioned at the ±5-second mark on the dial and the "Bricktrack®" circular track. The "Synchroline®" is a trajectory adjustment unit devised to help pilots maintain precise formation flying, enabling them to fly within ±5 seconds of their teammates. The "Bricktrack®," located on the dial's periphery, features applied indices made of green-glowing Super-LumiNova® X1, ensuring instant legibility even in low-light conditions. Furthermore, the rotating bezel is designed to be scratch-resistant with a conical slope and includes a 12-hour second time zone display.

The "Flieger F-43 Triple GMT" is a triple GMT model featuring a jumping hour GMT display for 24 hours on the dial, powered by the in-house movement Caliber WERKS13 from Kenissi, housed in a 43mm titanium case.
The "Flieger F-43 Bicompax" is a chronograph with two horizontally aligned subdials, housed in a stainless steel case. This model is available in two variations, paired with either a stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap.
The "Flieger F-41 Automatic / Flieger F-39 Automatic" are the series' foundational models, featuring time, minute, second, and date displays within a robust, unadorned stainless steel case. Available in case diameters of 39mm or 41mm, each is offered in four variations, paired with either a stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap.

Common across the series is a precision sliding clasp on the stainless steel or titanium bracelet, allowing for adjustment of up to 8mm in 8 stages, ensuring a comfortable fit at all times.
Crafted using the highest quality materials, meticulous attention to detail, and expert techniques, the new Flieger series embodies Fortis's motto: "Where there is no design, there is no function, and vice versa."
