A 18K Yellow Gold Model Honoring the Glorious Achievement of a Gold Medal

OMEGA has unveiled two "Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 Gold Edition" timepieces, dedicated to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. These special watches feature an 18K yellow gold case, a tribute to the gold medal, and a blue dial inspired by the Tokyo 2020 emblem. The emblem is subtly printed on the sapphire crystal case back as well.

An 18K Yellow Gold Case and a Blue Dial Inspired by the Emblem

Winning a gold medal, the ultimate pinnacle of the Olympic Games, represents the highest achievement in an athlete's career. OMEGA, the Swiss watch brand that has served as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, proudly presents two "Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 Gold Edition" models in 38mm and 41mm sizes, dedicated to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games as a tribute to the glorious achievement of the gold medal.

The standout feature is the 18K yellow gold case, paired with a blue alligator strap for an elegant aesthetic. The polished blue ceramic dial is laser-engraved with a pattern inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem, which is also subtly visible on the sapphire crystal case back.

The first to wear this new timepiece was swimming legend Michael Phelps, who has won 28 Olympic medals, including 23 golds, making him the most decorated Olympian of all time. A member of the OMEGA family since 2004, Phelps understands the importance of time for athletes. He commented, "If you're an Olympic athlete or aspiring to be one, it's a year-round job. It's 24/7. You have to be willing to put in the work and do the work alone. My five Olympic experiences were never easy. But I can tell you that you get out what you put in."

The 38mm model is equipped with the in-house Calibre 8801, while the 41mm model features the Calibre 8901. Both timepieces come with a five-year international warranty and a special Tokyo 2020 presentation box, with sales commencing at the end of July 2021.
